Jack Canfield

The biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a living at doing what they enjoy
most.

Most everything that you want is just outside your comfort zone.
– Jack Canfield

To demonstrate the power of taking action in my seminars, I hold up a $100 bill and ask,
“Who wants this $100 bill?” Invariably, most of the people in the audience will raise their
hands. Some will wave their hands vigorously back and forth; some will even shout out “I
want it” or “I’ll take it” or “Give it to me.” But I just stand there calmly holding out the bill until
they get it. Eventually, someone jumps out of her seat, rushes to the front of the room, and
takes the bill from my hand.

If you want to be really successful, and I know you do, then you will have to give up blaming
and complaining and take total responsibility for your life – that means all your results, both
your successes and your failures. That is the prerequisite for creating a life of success.
– Jack Canfield

There are essentially two things that will make you wise: the books you read and the people
you meet.
– Jack Canfield

Most of life is on-the-job training. Some of the most important things can only be learned in
the process of doing them. You do something and you get feedback – about what works and
what doesn’t. If you don’t do anything for fear of doing it wrong, poorly, or badly, you never
get any feedback, and therefore you never get to improve.
– Jack Canfield

If we all just fully do that which we are passionate about, and understand the principles for
how to bring that into being, then I believe the world would look perfectly.
– Jack Canfield

Close your eyes every day in the morning when you first get up and every night before you
go to sleep and visualize the rich lifestyle that you want to lead. What this does is it
programs your unconscious mind to come up with solutions and you’re also going to start
seeing things out in your environment that are resources that you never saw before.
– Jack Canfield

Keep in mind that part of growing up is dealing with difficult issues, and the benefits can be
great if you have the courage to ask for help. Human beings are not designed to go through
life alone. No one has to bear the burden of tough times all by themselves.
– Jack Canfield

It is time to stop looking outside yourself for the answers to why you haven’t created the life
and results you want, for it is you who creates the quality of life you lead and the results you
produce. You – no one else! To achieve major success in life, to achieve those things that are
most important to you, you must assume 100% responsibility for your life. Nothing less will do.
– Jack Canfield

Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you.
But you have to take action to get it.
– Jack Canfield

When you consciously recognize your successes, it helps to plant the positive in your mind.
And you can do it by writing a victory log. Every day write down one or more successes and
log it in your longterm memory. You can also look back on your life and list all the successes
that you can recall. When you’re having a tough day you can reread you success list for a
genuine boost of confidence.
– Jack Canfield

The true task of spiritual life is not found in faraway places or unusual states of
consciousness. It is here in the present. It asks of us a welcoming spirit to greet all that life
presents to us with a wise, respectful, and kindly heart.
– Jack Canfield

People who are reverse paranoids, otherwise known as optimist, use the same consistent
thinking – they believe that the world is plotting to them good; everything that happens pushes
them in the right direction. This attitude breeds more good thought, so why not practice to
become a reverse paranoid? Start seeing obstacles as opportunities to grow and change.
– Jack Canfield

Focusing on your failures negatively affects your self-esteem and that prevents you from
taking the risk you need to be successful – especially in your work life.
– Jack Canfield

Now, when anything “bad” happens, I remember that everything that ever happens to me has
within it the seeds of something better. I look for the upside rather than the downside. I ask
myself, “Where’s the greater benefit in this event?”
– Jack Canfield

People who ask confidently get more than those who are hesitant and uncertain. When
you’ve figured out what you want to ask for, do it with certainty, boldness and confidence.
– Jack Canfield

You don’t have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going. Babies don’t walk the first
time they try, but eventually they get it right.
– Jack Canfield

If you love your work, if you enjoy it, you’re already a success.
– Jack Canfield

You only have control over three things in your life – the thoughts you think, the images you
visualize, and the actions you take. How you use these three things determines everything
you experience. If you don’t like what you are producing and experiencing, you have to
change your responses.
– Jack Canfield

One of the easiest ways to begin clarifying what you truly want is to make a list of 30 things
you want to do, 30 things you want to have, and 30 things you want to be before you die.
– Jack Canfield

Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty.
– Jack Canfield

Find people who are already rich and figure out some way to get into their sphere of
influence. Get into their meetings, read their books, go to their seminars, hang out, join the
country club, fly first class every once in a while and get around those people because you’re
going to learn to think like them.
